While I love every season, I have to admit, fall is my favorite time of year. There is something about autumn that gives me an extra spring in my step. Maybe it's driving under a canopy of ruby, persimmon, amber and chestnut leaves on my way to work at Nell Hill's every morning. Or maybe it's enjoying a crisp apple just picked from the orchard or hot pumpkin bread fresh from the oven (of course, not my oven). The Stores Are Filled with the Bounty of Fall
In August, we start transforming the stores for fall. While we’ll have tantalizing fall décor at all the store locations, you can’t miss a trip to Garrity’s in Atchison, where our visual team fills the store with the bounty of the season. You’ll find tempting tabletop displays that will inspire you to entertain. You’ll discover inventive ways to use faux foliage like grasses, greens and gourds to dress up the displays throughout your home. And you’ll get a chance to check out our newest lines of furnishings, accents and artwork, just in time to get your home ready for holiday guests.
Celebrate the Season at Our Special Events
Be sure to mark your calendar for our annual fall open house on Sept. 10 and 11. My historic Atchison home will be dressed to the max for the season. And, once again, we’ll have a tent filled with many of the goodies you'll see displayed in my home so you can replicate the looks you like or create your own.
Then, plan to join us at Nell Hill's Briarcliff on Nov. 3 and 4 for our second annual Tablescapes with a Twist benefit event featuring HGTV personality Monica Pederson. We’d love to see you at the Wednesday evening kickoff cocktail party with Monica where you'll also get a sneak peek of the fabulous holiday-themed table settings the Nell Hill's team has created for Friday's luncheon. But be sure to join us for the luncheon – it will be the event of the season. Get your luncheon tickets early this year --- it's sure to be a sell out!
