What a year it has been! As we wrap up 2024, I want to say thank you to all our fabulous readers and customers. Your support has made this year truly unforgettable. We’ve had so much fun sharing our decor tips, design projects, and seasonal inspirations with you. I hope you’ve had a chance to relax and recover after the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. I’ve certainly enjoyed a little downtime with my family these past few days, which, as usual, resulted in sweet moments of reflection.
I’ve continued to reflect here at the shop, too, looking back at the amazing things we were able to do this year. I thought I’d highlight a few things I’m particularly proud of below and take a minute to celebrate the AWESOME team I get to work with each day who makes it all happen. KCSA Designers’ Showhouse
In March, we gave you an exclusive sneak peek into our showstopping room at the Kansas City Symphony Alliance Designers’ Showhouse. This project was a labor of love, showcasing our design team’s vision and creativity, and supporting an organization near and dear to our hearts!
Artisan Home Tour with builder Grace & Nell
Our collaboration with Grace & Nell Homes was a true highlight. From the initial reveal in May, where we celebrated the synergy between our design philosophies, to the behind-the-scenes look at our installation for House No. 14 on the Artisan Home Tour in April, this partnership brought stunning results to life. We also shared insights into the talented designers shaping these spaces in our “Meet the Masterminds” series part one and part two. Upholstered Furniture Galore!

Fall Winter 2024 Fabric Collections
Over the past few months, we’ve launched and rolled out (literally) our Fall/Winter 2024 Fabric Collections. The first collection, Woodland Oak, features versatile fabrics perfect for upholstery, pillows, draperies, and bedding. One standout piece, and a favorite of mine, is the upholstered bed and bedding, which showcases the collection’s luxurious Woodland Oak fabric and other complementary, menswear inspired fabrics. Isn’t it fabulous?
Next, we introduced the Pleasant Pheasant collection: a charming mix of rich tailored fabrics softened with the floral Pleasant Pheasant fabric. Perfect for adding warmth and elegant appeal to any space, we created a gorgeous tablecloth, bedding, and pillows that blend muted and vibrant hues seamlessly.
December brought the launch of our Dragon Dynasty fabric collection, a vibrant tapestry of colors and patterns inspired by East Asian culture. This collection added a bold and adventurous touch to home decor, with striking upholstery and statement pieces that bring a sense of drama and excitement to any room. Stay tuned for more collections dropping soon and throughout 2025!
A Festive Christmas
Our Christmas looks this year were nothing short of magical! We kicked off the season (in August) with Nutcracker Wonderland, transforming our Flint Hills room into a whimsical fairy tale with lush garlands, twinkling lights, and majestic nutcrackers.
Christmas Cookie Magic added a sweet touch with delightful cookie-themed decor, while Campfire Christmas created a cozy, rustic retreat filled with woodland charm. A Fruitful Christmas embraced tradition with a fresh twist, featuring vibrant fruit motifs and rich, festive colors.
Our Classic Christmas look brought a harmonious blend of reds, greens, and luxurious golds, and Cameo Christmas exuded elegance with soft neutrals and sparkling accents. Gothic Holiday offered a scholarly retreat with rich colors and intricate details (a tree adorned with books was a hit thanks to our amazingly creative visuals team). The Festive Cheers Bar became the ultimate holiday haven, perfect for festive gatherings and the 12 Days of Christmas look was a whimsical celebration of bright colors and playful designs.
Each look brought its own unique flair, and while most of our décor flew out the door by the time late November rolled around, this holiday season was truly one to remember!
