Fall Fanfare Open House Recap

Another Fall Fanfare Open House is in the books! WOW! First off, what an incredible weekend.  I was so humbled and thrilled to meet all of you who came out to say hi and celebrate the new season with us.  This was my first open house as the steward of Nell Hill’s and the support you showed was truly amazing.  Mary Carol and I had a blast mingling and showing off our fall goodies! For those of you who couldn’t make it – fear not! I am here to highlight my favorite parts and share the many, many photos we took!

My favorite part was getting to meet everyone! I know – cheesy but true! Having only been here for a short time being able to connect with our clients and fans is something I am always looking to do.  There is a true sense of family here at Nell Hill’s and being there with Mary Carol to see the special connection that everyone has with the shop is a magical experience! Between the groups of friends, bubbly flowing, and décor flying, there wasn’t a dull moment all weekend long!

A special addition we had for the open house this year was live fall basket making demonstrations.  We had the lovely Gail and Chery from the original Atchison location come and create festive baskets during the day.  They used items from our beautiful stem collections, and it was so fun to see what they created (and how!). They also did custom bows for customers as the day went on which were a lovely addition to baskets and wreaths!  Floral arranging is truly an art form!

We had plenty of fantastic tabletop displays on the floor for fall and the holidays alike! Our Halloween display was a crowd favorite – with pumpkins, skeletons and no shortage of whimsy, it was “Halloween Chic” all the way! The plaid was also out in full force from bookcases to tabletop to pillows. I am so glad plaid season is upon us! Small accessories and patterns like these are a great way to bring a seasonal flair to your existing décor.

Last but not least, the first of our Christmas looks made its 2019 debut! I know some of you may be thinking – but it’s September?! We can’t help it! The holidays embody the spirit of tradition and family that represents Nell Hill’s so well and we just couldn’t wait! Plus, any excuse to get out the glitter and greenery and I am IN! From tree décor to mantle displays and tabletop, our elegant silver winter wonderland look has pieces that work outside of just Christmas!  The silver pumpkins would be a fantastic addition to a Thanksgiving table that could transition with you until the end of the year.

I am so thankful for such a wonderful weekend, and I hope that everyone is as excited as I am for fall! We have our Christmas Open House November 1-3 and I can’t wait for another fun event! Will we see you there? Until then – Happy Decorating!
