I love wood furniture of all shapes, sizes, and styles, especially the classic chest of drawers and those grand pieces that fill a wall. When it comes to versatile wood furniture, the chest of drawers is at the top of my list! I’d argue they can be used in nearly every room of the house, offering stylish storage and a surface to decorate wherever you decide to place one. Cabinets and other large, shelved pieces also provide storage and display opportunities, but in a way that can fill and anchor a space. No need to have built-ins when you have a cabinet that nearly touches the ceiling (and hey, you can take it with you when you move someday 😉). I have as many of both as I can squeeze into my home (and am always scheming to sneak another one in somewhere, somehow).

Liz’s Favorites
