I can’t tell you how happy I am that it is finally feeling like fall! I have been craving these cool evenings and the sight of changing leaves for quite some time now and am thrilled that the weather has finally taken note. However, all good things come with a loophole. In this case, it is me having a hard time leaving my warm bed in the morning! Luckily our designers have been creating beautiful custom bedding to keep us all cozy and comfortable during these cold months ahead!
Dianne has the amazing talent of seamlessly bridging together the old and the new when it comes to her designs. This stunning bed is no different! Starting with the beautiful Wisteria textile in ochre she found inspiration for a traditional but fun bed that is perfect for any life stage.
One thing she loved about this floral was its season-less color palette, not one often found in florals! Dianne chose to highlight the turquoise tones in the pattern by adding bright and vibrant pillows for a relaxed yet elegant feel to the design. Adding in tassels for texture and whimsy she finishes off the bed with a pillow in a sophisticated tweed.
Liz created a bedding look to appeal to both masculine and feminine styles, perfect for a primary bedroom! Inspired by her husband’s dislike of her favorite florals, she knew as soon as she saw the Toki Vintage fabric arrive in the shop that she had found the perfect solution. This textile is floral without the flounce and the ideal compromise between hard and soft. As a bonus, she found the perfect coordinating fabric in Washburn Vintage that ties it all together with the impactful duvet. Bringing in some vibrancy with bold henna coloring and textured pillows adds depth to this look. This versatile bedding showcases a whole new look with a simple flip of the duvet, allowing the plaid side to become the bold focal point. No detail went unnoticed with Liz choosing to venture from our classic white coverlet and instead bringing in a gorgeous neutral ready-made to play off of the earthy cream and taupe found in her inspiration fabrics.
These were our last two designer beds of 2021 – I can’t believe the year has gone by so fast! In the coming months I will be showing off the Christmas looks we have here in the shop and getting you ready for the holiday season! Stop by our Holiday Open House November 5th – 7th to see the looks in person. Until next time – happy decorating!
