Step Inside the Finished Home: The Main Floor

What a whirlwind month! Yesterday marked the last day of the 2024 Artisan Home Tour and we had an absolute blast welcoming you into Home No. 14 over the last three weekends. Our fabulous design team poured love and attention into every space, filling each one up with furnishings created and curated specifically for this home.

Now that the tour is over, we’re excited to share more photos of this stunning project! Over the next few weeks, we’ll take you on a room-by-room tour of this beautifully furnished home, starting with the main floor.

If you’ve been following along, you’ve seen our initial sneak peek of the home and perhaps even toured it in person. If you’re just beginning to follow along on this project’s journey, we invite you to explore the origins of this exciting collaboration here and get to know the talented individuals behind each room here and here. Also, be sure to check out our behind-the-scenes post about the installation process here.

The Parlor

At the home’s entrance, the elegant parlor, furnished by Jenna Luebbers, greets guests. This light, airy space is a modern reception area, comfortably welcoming and seating guests. Jenna has masterfully combined traditional and vintage-inspired velvets with classic linen chinoiserie prints, creating an elevated yet comfortable space. The light tones of the furniture rest gracefully atop a traditional rug with slightly more saturated hues. A Lucite and brass cocktail table mirrors the brass in the overhead light fixture, adding a touch of glam modernity to the room. Finishing touches like tape and pleated trims on accent pillows and chinoiserie panels on the wall highlight the room’s grandeur.

The Living Room

Furnished by Taylor Schwartz, the living room is a testament to her love for big, bold designs. This space is a harmonious blend of colors, patterns, and textures, creating a cohesive flow with the adjoining kitchen and dining area. A soft palette of neutrals, including dusty blues and light sage greens, feels light and airy in this bright, open space. Structured plaids and linear florals keep the overall look grounded, while cotton and linen textiles mixed with wool and leather add layers without feeling too heavy. Marble accent tables add an elegant touch, and a fabulous rug anchors the room, tying all the elements together beautifully.

The Kitchen and Dining Room

Taylor’s space extends into the kitchen and dining room, where functionality meets elegance. The kitchen features a large central island with a white marble countertop, for which Taylor designed four wicker bar stools, perfect for elevated yet casual dining and entertainment. The home’s designer and builder crafted the kitchen to feature custom cabinetry with a combination of metal finishes, including polished nickel and unlacquered brass fixtures. Wide plank European white oak wood floors run throughout, adding warmth and continuity. The dining area, designed to seat up to 8 guests, is perfect for intimate family dinners and larger gatherings. The mix of materials and furniture finishes showcases Taylor’s ability to create a practical and beautiful space.

The Primary Suite

Dianne Lowenberg, through her furnishings, has created a bespoke primary suite that feels inviting and relaxing. The primary bedroom features custom pillows and duvet covers, adding a cozy yet elevated touch. The seating area, with two matching chairs and an upholstered ottoman, provides a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the natural light streaming through the large windows. A small round table with a floral-patterned lamp adds a charming touch to this quiet nook. The serene color scheme of blues, whites, and greens is complemented by a fabulous area rug, tying the room together beautifully. The grand en suite bathroom adjoining the bedroom, closets, and primary laundry room is functional and stylish.

We hope you’ve enjoyed this first look at the main floor of the stunning home. Each room is a testament to the creativity and expertise of our talented team, and we can’t wait to share more with you in the coming weeks. Stay tuned as we continue our tour, showcasing the beautifully designed spaces on the upper floor and the lower level. Until then, Happy decorating!
