While it is hard to believe that hibernation season (aka when the temperature drops below 40, hah!) is in our near future, time is moving fast! Now is the perfect opportunity to cozy up to some stunning new bedding creations. I am so excited to be back this week with more bedding to share with you. I have the absolute best team of designers here at Nell Hill’s and they have been keeping me in awe each and every month with gorgeous new bedroom designs. I have loved being able to see them express their personal styles here at the shop, because as I’ve said before, the best way to get to know someone is to see their bedroom!
Nell Hill’s clients love buffalo check, and so does Kim! For her bedding she was looking for a collection of textiles that are eye-catching with great contrast. She chose nice year-round classics and timeless fabrics for her main euros and duvet. Since she kept the main color story pure with black and cream, she added a lot of detail in the trim for a pop of the unexpected.
Simple doesn’t mean boring with this bed, and the pop of color can be any of your favorite hues! Kim decided to balance the black and white with a splash of shocking pink. Choosing to use a traditional box trim adds to the sophistication of this fun design. She purposefully chose a mix of ageless fabrics by mixing polka dots with classic stripes and checks for an intriguing balance. Her use of pleated ruffles and micro-welts give us a look that is luxurious and well-tailored and still funky and fun!
Are you a bit adventurous and love a cheeky mix of colors and texture? Our designer Glenna has designed the perfect bed for you! Inspired by the luxe and rich Feline Fine fabric, Glenna has created a bed that embodies the fun side of New Traditional design. Each of these stunning textiles has the ability to carry a bed and take a designer down multiple style paths, but she decided to head towards the path of timeless beauty.
The gorgeous floral embroidered duvet adds a traditional flair that is well-balanced with neutrals and pops of bold jewel tones. Hints of vintage-inspired metallic gold and strong geometric patterns add intrigue and excitement to this elegant bedding. This design features a lot of layering for a full and impactful look that is both classic and modern, with just a touch of the unexpected!
