I am thrilled to introduce the first of our Fall/Winter 2024 fabric collections: Woodland Oak. The Woodland Oak collection draws inspiration from classic menswear, blending the refinement of tailored patterns like houndstooth and windowpane with organic elements that celebrate nature. Versatile and luxurious, this collection offers everything from upholstery-weight fabrics to coordinating patterns for pillows, draperies, and bedding to create spaces that exude warmth and sophistication.
When Zoe, the head of our fabric department, and I went to market to source textiles in May, we saw an abundance of large-scale toile- and tapestry-inspired textiles. We stumbled upon a classic yet bold tree-patterned fabric that was organic, elegant, and elevated and immediately fell in love. Inspired by the timeless sophistication of menswear and the natural beauty of the fabric, we knew this had to be the focal point of one of our Fall/Winter collections. Woodland Oak, as the collection came to be known, is rich in depth and movement, celebrating nature with its luxurious, heavily textured appearance. Despite its textured look, it maintains a soft, comfortable hand, making it versatile enough for everything from upholstery to bedding.
The Woodland Oak Collection features an array of fabrics, each carefully chosen to complement the focal pattern while offering versatility for various applications. Drawing inspiration from the refined elegance of menswear, we incorporated coordinating fabrics that echo the classic tailored look of a bespoke blazer, playing up individual colors within the tapestry-inspired fabric. Each fabric in the collection complements one another and harmoniously pairs while maintaining enough contrast to stand up to the focal fabric. The result is a collection that evokes the timeless sophistication of a country manor with an elevated, masculine aesthetic. From the green, blue, and brown toile of Woodland Oak to the rich and moody black and green houndstooth of Mallard Moss, each fabric boasts durability and luxurious texture, making them ideal for upholstery, bedding, pillows, and draperies.
