Between family life and working in the shop full time, it’s been one hot minute since I’ve had the chance to seriously travel. I joke that I don’t get out much, but it’s true. Perhaps it’s my return to Pinterest surfing, the promise that a new year brings, or just the absence that has made my heart grow fonder, but I’ve caught the travel bug and I’m itching to get out into the world and go exploring!
If you’ve been with us the last few months, you know we’ve been all-in on Christmas for quite some time! Being in the world of decor, we get started early which means while the rest of retail is ramping up, we actually get a little reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the season before the new year arrives. It feels like the perfect time to share something that’s not holiday related at all. I’m thrilled to introduce you to our next collection – Dragon Dynasty!

The Essence of Dragon Dynasty
At the heart of this collection is the Dragon Dynasty fabric, a stunning Chinoiserie pattern that features fierce dragons, intricate motifs, and a palette that dances between muted greens, mustard yellows, and vibrant reds. The ebony background sets the stage for the dragons, whose mustard scales and colorful details create a dynamic and adventurous print. Cool turquoise and punchy green clouds float amidst the dragons, while interlocking grey motifs add depth and complexity.

The Daybed: A Statement Piece
When we saw this daybed at Market in High Point, North Carolina, we knew it had to be part of our collection. It immediately caught my eye, reminding me of one of my favorite pieces at The Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, which I saw for the first time as a grade school student – Canopy Bed with Alcove from 16th century China. Inspired by French and Asian styles from the 18th century, this daybed features four tall corner posts connected by pierced fretwork tester rails, with sides and back also adorned with pierced fretwork panels. It’s a piece that exudes charm and elegance, perfectly complementing the Dragon Dynasty fabric.

The Dragon Dynasty focal fabric is beautifully complemented by other fabrics in the collection, including Safari Splendor, Survalo Evergreen, Emerald City, Athena Greek Key, and Nelson Caviar.
