We mixed metals with white and sparkle for this look, much like we did in the Frosted Forest room, where the space is similarly bedecked in tone and formality.

Polished metals like warm copper, shimmering gold, and bright silver are set in contrast to matte neutrals like earthy brown and winter white. A Winter Glam Christmas tree unites art and nature in a unique aesthetic that embraces the unconventional. Although this design is truly over the top, we incorporated some natural elements to ground the look. There is an ordinary Christmas tree under all those picks and ornaments, after all!
Sumptuous shades of gold glimmer in the boughs as ornaments, ribbons, and picks drip from the branches. We used several different pick varieties for a full and layered look. And because we wanted an ‘over the top’ look, we chose two symmetrical trees flanking the fireplace.
The Makings of a Mantelpiece
When decorating your mantel in a glam motif, negative space is your biggest ally. Choose a few key items to display and use empty spaces to maintain an uncluttered design. We chose a cluster of ornaments in golds and pearly whites, centered for a balanced look, atop a bed of ample garland. Matching greenery is draped over the top of the focal-point mirror, adding to the seasonal opulence. Symmetrical gold candlesticks flank the mirror, maintaining the balance of the look, creating height to the design – and leveling up the glam factor.
Decking the Halls in Winter Glam
Winter Glam Christmas decor displays artful renditions of holiday silhouettes. Figurines and sculptural pieces like reindeer and pine trees add seasonal charm to your room. Mix metallic accents with matte neutrals to create visual contrast with a glam edge.
In this coffee table display the greenery balances the design, making it a true statement piece. Without it, the trees might have blended into the mix of metallics in the background throughout the room. In a sense, Winter Glam wouldn’t be nearly as alluring without first creating this harmony.
