Irma Starr Is Coming to Nell Hill's
We love introducing our customers to talented makers, artists, and small businesses, so we're especially excited to welcome Irma Starr to Nell Hills for a holiday pop-up on Saturday, November 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
If you're familiar with Irma's work, you probably already know that her ornaments have become something of a Kansas City phenomenon. Collectors wait all year to see her newest designs, and her whimsical ceramic ornaments have earned a devoted following throughout the city and beyond. Her work can be found in museum collections, and she has been commissioned to create pieces for organizations, private collectors, and even the White House.
While her accomplishments are impressive, it's her ornaments that have captured the hearts of so many collectors. Whimsical, colorful, and unmistakably her own, each design reflects the craftsmanship and creativity that have made her one of Kansas City's most beloved artists.
For her visit to Nell Hills, Irma will be bringing a limited collection of her work, including beautiful blue-and-white ceramic snowflakes. In total, just 36 pieces will be available during the pop-up, making this a rare opportunity to shop her collection in person. Irma will be spending time with shoppers and signing the backs of ornaments, making this a wonderful opportunity to meet the artist behind these beloved creations. Whether you've been collecting her work for years or are discovering it for the first time, this is a chance to experience something special and take home a truly special keepsake.
One of the things we enjoy most about hosting events like this is the opportunity to connect with the people behind the work. When the chance to bring Irma to Nell Hill’s came along, we couldn't pass it up. Her pieces are full of spirit and charm, just like the artist herself, and we're delighted to share them with our customers.
We're also excited to offer a chance to shop her collection right here in the store. Whether you're looking for a meaningful gift, adding to a growing ornament collection, or simply appreciate beautiful handmade work, we think you'll love meeting Irma and seeing her creations up close.

We hope you'll join us on November 7 and help us give Irma a warm Nell Hill’s welcome. As an added bonus, Irma's pop-up coincides with the Briarcliff Lighting Ceremony on November 7. If you're planning to join the festivities that evening, be sure to stop by Nell Hill’s earlier in the day to meet Irma and shop her limited collection of holiday ornaments.
