I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend and a chance to enjoy a little spring sunshine – I sure did!
As the season starts to feel lighter and brighter (with an occasional gloomy day sprinkled in here and there), it’s a natural time to consider assessing the current needs of the place where we start and end each day: our bedrooms. A quick refresh, even a small shift in color or pattern, can make the whole space feel renewed.
Around the shop, our beds are full of fresh textiles – pillows and duvets sewn to perfection by our talented team of sewists in our in-house workroom. Soft greens, cheerful blues, playful florals, and all the layered patterns we love this time of year bring so much joy.

Celebrate Spring Color Stories
Textiles are where spring really comes to life at Nell Hill’s. If you know us, you know we love dreaming up new ways to mix patterns, and this season’s beds show just how fun that can be – florals with stripes, checks with botanicals, small-scale prints paired with festive toiles, and yes, even a touch of animal print. The combinations feel collected rather than overly coordinated, which is exactly what makes them special. Pattern play adds personality without overwhelming the space, and it’s one of the simplest ways to make your bed feel new again while keeping it completely “you”.
Refresh with Textile Swaps
Refreshing doesn’t have to mean redoing. A fabulous transformation can come together with a few thoughtful changes: new shams, a fresh duvet cover, or a couple of accent pillows in a complementary palette. Textiles do the heavy lifting – swapping out a pillow or introducing a new pattern from season to season instantly changes the feel. It’s not overly complicated and an approachable, simple, and great way to welcome the season without starting from scratch.
