The Nativity Christmas Look
While we’ve been celebrating Christmas at the shop for some time now (our first tree was decked months ago!), you may finally feel ready for it now that the weather has cooled off.
While we always search to find a variety of nativities to offer in the shop for the season, from ornaments to entire vignettes, this year the team was inspired to build a look around the Christmas icons themselves. Curating this collection made me think back to grade school and the gorgeous stained-glass windows at the front of church (and a few foil-and-acetate paper craft projects they inspired),and setting up the simple but beloved wood nativity under our fresh tree at home. What great memories!
The Nativity room is one of the most breathtaking spaces in the shop this season. It’s a celebration of timeless beauty, rich color, and quiet reverence. Warm golds, deep reds, soft blues, and earthy greens envelop the space, coming together to create a look that feels both regal and heartfelt.
In the Ward Parkway room, trees dressed with gold, silver and blue ribbons are accented with sprigs of frosted leaves and glimmers of gold. The result is a color palette that feels sophisticated yet welcoming, elegant enough for a grand celebration but still wonderfully warm and familiar. From ornaments to figurines, this room overflows with pieces that honor the story of Christmas in every scale and style. You’ll find delicate nativity ornaments nestled in branches, larger display figures that make a statement on mantels or entry tables, and everything in between.
At the heart of the room, a dining table set for a holiday feast glows in tones of gold and white. Each place setting features a glass cloche encasing a tiny nativity scene, elevated on a gold pedestal - a detail that feels both refined and deeply special. The result is a table that captures the spirit of the season with quiet charm and a touch of grandeur.
Just beyond the main room, the scene continues with gold nativity figures and cascading bells suspended from the ceiling. This graceful display draws you in; it’s a gentle reminder of the beauty and wonder that inspired the look. This look is a perfect reflection of the season’s joy and meaning - layered, luminous, and full of heart.
