Introducing The Polo Club Collection
At Nell Hill’s, some of our favorite collections come together almost effortlessly, like a story that’s been waiting to be told. The Polo Club Collection is one of those moments. Rooted in tradition and inspired by the great English countryside, this grouping of fabrics and furnishings feels timeless, tailored, and just a touch adventurous.
The star of the collection is Heritage Trail, a truly spectacular fabric that features an English hunting scene. With layers of color, shades of deep and light green, browns ranging from warm camel to espresso, a dash of maroon, and the faintest whisper of blue, it’s a fabric in which you can get lost (in the very best way). It sets the tone for the collection and pairs beautifully with a wide variety of wood tones and stains, which makes it as versatile as it is handsome.
To complement Heritage Trail, we’ve brought together a curated mix of rich solids and striking plaids. The Lawrence fabric, with its camel base and cream windowpane, offers a crisp tailored look.
Woodmere Check is a small-scale plaid that brings in hints of cream and green (also available in paprika if you want a warmer mood).
Chesterfield Tartan, a high-performance fabric, ties everything together with its mix of maroon, navy, green, and beige, a plaid that feels both classic and fresh.
We layered in Checkmate, a large-scale buffalo check in green and cream, alongside Foxwood, a wool-blend flannel solid in a warm camel tone. Together, these fabrics create a palette that’s rich, masculine, and wonderfully versatile.
We’ve brought the collection to life upstairs in the shop with a cozy bedroom display. A wood four-poster bed, complete with brass detailing, sets the scene. At its side, a small chest of drawers holds a green lamp that adds just the right note of color. A supple leather chair sits nearby, dressed with a pillow in Woodmere Check. On the bed, we piled on pillows in Chesterfield Tartan, Checkmate, and Heritage Trail - proof of how easily these fabrics layer together. For a bit of surprise, we mixed in a few Antelope pillows to show just how well this collection plays with others.
And because no Nell Hill’s room is complete without a gallery wall, Dillon (our in-house expert at crafting walls that tell a story) built a stunning arrangement of art and décor. The mix of textures, tones, and subjects feels collected over time, creating an atmosphere that’s equal parts stately and inviting - just like the Polo Club Collection itself.
This collection is available now in-store and online, including both fabrics by the yard and a selection of pillows ready to bring home. Whether you’re designing a room from scratch or looking to add just a few tailored touches, the Polo Club Collection brings the timeless charm of English tradition into your home.
