Countdown to Holiday Open House
It’s that time of year again - the shop is sparkling and the halls are decked in anticipation of our Holiday Open House! Join us October 10-11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. as we officially welcome the Christmas season.
This event is one of our most anticipated of the year, a joyful kickoff to the holidays, and a chance to see our Christmas looks unveiled throughout the shop. Each room tells a different story this season, from time-honored tradition to playful color and winter elegance. We can’t wait to share a look at what we’ve been working on.
While you browse and get inspired, enjoy a glass of prosecco to toast the season. We’ll also be joined by DW Custom Canvas LLC, who will be in-store painting custom pet ornaments: a charming keepsake for you or a thoughtful gift for a fellow animal lover. Perhaps I’ll pick up two for the kittens that recently joined our family!
And because the holidays are about giving, we’re also kicking off our Project Warmth collection drive. From October 10–29, we’ll be gathering cold-weather gear; coats, hats, gloves, and more, to help keep our community warm this winter.
A Sneak Peek at This Year’s Christmas Looks
Each holiday look this year was designed to capture a different mood and moment of the season. Whether you gravitate toward classic reds and greens or subtle sparkle and sophistication, there’s something for every style of celebration.
Nativity
Inspired by European cathedrals, this look glows with gilded tones, antiqued finishes, and stained-glass color. Think of it as a jewel box nativity; reverent, radiant, and timeless.
Christmas Sweets
Bright, cheerful, and bursting with color, this collection feels like stepping into a candy shop at Christmastime. With bubblegum pinks, minty greens, cherry reds, and peppermint blues, this is our most joyful look - pure sugarplum fun.
Kitschy Christmas
A playful nod to vintage charm - mailboxes, gold accents, and classic reds and greens combine for a nostalgic yet fresh take on holiday cheer. Whimsical, festive, and full of personality, this look makes every day feel like Christmas morning.
Winter Garden
Picture an English garden in winter - lush boxwood garlands (a Nell Hill’s exclusive), ginger jars and blue-and-white accents, pops of red berries, and elegant rattan urns and lanterns. A preppy yet natural mix of greens, blues, and reds that feels both classic and new.
Chalet
Inspired by cozy winter lodges and the thrill of alpine adventures, this look features deep reds, rich plaids, pinecones, and bells - the perfect balance of sophistication and comfort. Warm, layered, and inviting, it’s everything we love about winter gatherings.
The Cocktail Bar
Celebrate in sparkling style! With champagne bottle ornaments, pink and green accents, and festive details, this look is all about holiday merriment - perfect for the hostess, entertainer, or anyone who loves a bit of bubbly.
Vintage Postcard
Nostalgic and romantic, this look draws from the charm of old-fashioned Christmas greetings. You’ll find a palette of coral reds, sage and forest greens, antiqued silver, and shimmering swans - a little sparkle, a little storybook, and completely timeless.
