Chalet Holiday
There’s a certain kind of winter magic that happens when comfort meets sophistication and when a space feels both elevated and inviting. That’s the inspiration behind our Chalet look this season. It reminds me of cozy lodges tucked into snowy hillsides, evenings spent fireside after a day of adventure, and the quiet beauty of winter in its natural form.
This look is all about warmth layered with texture. A mix of wood tones, natural materials, and soft neutrals form the foundation, accented with rich greens, subtle golds, and just the faintest touches of red from winter berries woven through garlands and greenery. It feels collected and calm, nodding to refined mountain living that’s more chalet than cabin.
Above the mantle, a garland drapes elegantly beneath mounted antlers, sparkling with gold and black ribbons and ornaments. In the center of the room, a sleigh suspended from the ceiling is dressed in greenery and gold accents bringing a bit of playful holiday spirit. The towering tree, like the rest of the space, features organic elements like pinecones and whimsical critters mixed with glistening gold and silver accents. Black-and-white ginger jars add a touch of pattern, while gold antlers and sleigh bells lend a soft shimmer that catches the light.
Throughout the room, layers of candles, lanterns, and glowing metallics create a golden warmth that balances beautifully with the cool blue of the Missouri Bluestem paint color on the walls. The combination feels timeless — cozy yet polished, traditional with a touch of elegant.
In the corner, a table set for two extends the look beautifully. Each place setting rests on a gold tray, layered with stone-gray plates and topped with natural linen-colored napkins embroidered with green stitches. A golden stag serves as a napkin ring — a small, spirited detail that feels perfectly festive. A rustic silver pitcher with a wooden handle and a gleaming ice bucket sit nearby, ready for a toast or a slow evening dinner by the fire.
The upholstered pieces carry the look forward — a soft plaid sofa in beige and ivory tones, accented with antelope pillows and green tape-trimmed cushions that tie the palette together. Every element feels intentional, layered, and welcoming — a space that celebrates both comfort and beauty, designed for gathering, resting, and enjoying the quiet luxury of wintertime.
As we settle into the season, we’re reminded that warmth isn’t just something we create at home — it’s something we can share. Through October 29, we’re collecting coats, scarves, and cold-weather gear for Project Warmth, and we’d love your help in spreading comfort where it’s needed most. We hope to see you soon and until next time - happy decorating!
