We opened the year by returning to the foundations: the frames, fabrics, and silhouettes that shape a room. March was a burst of creativity. Paradise Found introduced a lush, expressive palette, while Easter décor and tabletop inspiration brought a sense of celebration to the season. Our wood furniture series (Part 1 and Part 2) highlighted craftsmanship, character, and the kinds of pieces that anchor a home as the days grow brighter.
April: Rooms That Invite You In
April focused on livable beauty. We explored hanging artwork with intention, refreshing a living room with one sofa styled three ways, and creating game rooms that feel both playful and polished. Our Summer Open House carried that energy into the shop, filling it with color, texture, and the promise of warmer days ahead.
May: Entertaining, Gardening, and Guest‑Ready Spaces

June: Summer Ease and Effortless Style
June leaned into breezy living. From building the perfect pillow combo to summer entertaining tips, the month was filled with approachable ideas that make a home feel relaxed and inviting. Designing Your Dream Piece broke down the custom process step‑by‑step, elaborating on how our design team makes the process seamless and meets you where you need it most to create a space that feels distinctly yours!
July: Warm Woods and Collected Corners
July brought a return to natural materials and thoughtful styling. We highlighted wood furniture that warms a room, shared coffee table styling ideas, and introduced you to the designers behind the Nell Hill’s look. It was a month that celebrated the quiet details and the ones that make a space feel truly special!
August: A Season of Transition
August bridged summer and fall with ease. Our Fall Open House set the stage for the months ahead, while the Foxtrot and Heirloom Fabric Collections introduced richer tones and layered textures. Side tables, wood beds, and small‑surface styling rounded out a month full of practical, beautiful ideas.
September: Where Fall Begins… and So Does Christmas
September marked our first Christmas post of the year with our Toy Chest look. Some might call that early. We call it… right on time for retail. From there, the month moved between fall gatherings, Camp Nell Hill’s (another Christmas look), and the tailored charm of the Polo Club Collection - a perfect blend of autumn warmth and early holiday magic.
October: Hello Holiday Wonder
October is when the holiday season truly goes into full swing at Nell Hill’s. Countdown to Holiday Open House set the tone, followed by the Chalet Holiday, Vintage Postcard Christmas, and Sweet Holiday Celebration, each one a distinct world of Christmas color and inspiration.
November: Tradition, Warmth, and Wonder
November deepened the holiday story. Our Holiday Cheers, Nativity, and Winter Garden Christmas looks each offered a different mood, from spirited to serene. Finally, the Classic Christmas look brought timeless tradition to the forefront.
December: A Storybook Finale
December wrapped the year in pure enchantment. The Storybook Christmas look captured the cozy, collected charm of the season, Mantel Styling Made Simple offered practical beauty, and Saint Nic’s: A Santa Experience on the Plaza was a festive collaboration that spread Christmas cheer and brought joy to families throughout Kansas City. It was a month filled with nostalgia, sparkle, and the kind of moments that make the holidays unforgettable.
